Klappentext

This book provides a comprehensive perspective on utilizing AI's transformative power across the framework of knowledge management, i. e., knowledge creation, dissemination, retention, and learning. In the knowledge-based economy, the role of knowledge as compared with other types of resources such as natural resources or physical capital has taken on greater importance. In a knowledge-driven economy, economic development is related to technological competitiveness, which is in turn driven by science and scientific research. Thus, in a knowledge-based economy, scientific research plays an important role in economic growth. Moreover, in the recently burgeoning knowledge economy, artificial intelligence (AI), coupled with promising machine learning (ML) techniques are rapidly transforming academia and scholarship in terms of how we conduct research and deliver education, i. e., in knowledge creation and dissemination.
This insightful book explores the practical applications of AI in research methodologies, university rankings, teaching and learning, curriculum development, and assessment. It explores AI tools, techniques, and smart applications while critically examining the ethical considerations and potential challenges. Featuring chapters from researchers, scholars, and academics including recommendations, this book empowers researchers, academics, regulators, and technology professionals to navigate the complexities of AI integration and build a more innovative and equitable future for research and education.
