Nicola Tallant: Kinahan Inc: From Dublin to Dubai: The rise of an international crime cartel, Kartoniert / Broschiert

Klappentext

From the gang's origins on the streets of Dublin to its expansion into a billion-euro international criminal empire, Nicola Tallant traces the rise of one of the most powerful organised crime networks in modern history and the global pursuit that ultimately led to the arrest of Daniel Kinahan .

At the centre of the story of how Ireland's underworld was reshaped lies the mysterious Dapper Don Christy Kinahan and his ambition to create an international cartel - one which would grow to dominance on the world stage.

While Kinahan was one of the first he was not the only ambitious Irishman mixing and mingling in The Damm - the drug supermarket of Europe. George 'The Penguin' Mitchell, John 'The Colonel' Cunningham and Thomas 'The Boxer' Mullen had also been drawn to the bright lights and lax laws of the Netherlands.
Perfectly placed and perfectly timed they made contacts and friends who will weave into the tapestry of some of the most extraordinary stories in recent criminal history and who remain central today to the vast billion euro businesses that seem untouchable.
Amsterdam was just the beginning of an incredible journey across the globe; to some of the richest places on earth and through the poorest. A journey which would place Ireland on the frontline of a global criminal underworld.
In this explosive investigation and fast-moving story that reads like a thriller, Nicola details how the tentacles of the ambitious first cartel bosses spanned out across the world creating new territories and new rules for those who followed.

This is the story of the new underworld and those who built it.
