The family showdown is about to begin.

Three siblings are together again at their family home for their father's funeral. Under the watchful eye of matriarch Yvonne, they await the arrival of genial peacekeeper Aunt Amy, slipping back into the well-worn grooves of their family roles.

But people change and dynamics shift. Anna is no longer a teenager, Gemma's maturing with alarming speed and Matthew - well, Matthew is still a child, but try telling him that with the weight of the world on his skinny shoulders.

As each character grapples with the death of a man none of them, as it turns out, knew that well, their everyday concerns and evolving lives blur the lines of the established family narratives and pick at the silvery wisps of the family web, one thread at a time.

How well can we ever know other people - especially those bound to us in blood?

'Intriguing, witty, moving and complex' John Patrick McHugh
